United Gear and Machine was awarded 1st place in the 2nd Annual Hartford Business Journal Connecticut Family Business Awards. Pictured to the left are 2nd generation brother and sister William Malec and Jayna Malec-Jutras and the third generation of United Gear, William’s son Kurt. Kurt’s brother Stuart (not pictured) has recently completed his business degree at the University of Rhode Island and plans on returning to eventually work in the family business alongside his father, aunt and brother.
We were very honored to win the award as being a small, family business is important to everyone at United Gear. Now in our 60th year and third generation, we look forward to the future and making sure that family and our customers stay first!
