OUR HISTORY
United Gear & Machine brings nearly 70 years of gear cutting experience to the production of our products. Started by Victor J. Malec in the late 1940s as Windsor Locks Machine, the company moved to its current Suffield location in 1954, taking on the name United Gear & Machine. Seven decades later, William J. Malec, Victor’s son, continues to serve many of the same satisfied customers in the aerospace and manufacturing industry.

United Gear & Machine Company, Inc moves to its current location in Suffield, CT
1960'S
United Gear expands and adds a new building to house the broach department
1980's

2020
In mid 2020, United Gear completes a 10,000 square foot expansion to house its growing CNC gear department

We were very honored to win the award as being a small, family business is important to everyone at United Gear. Now in our 60th year and third generation, we look forward to the future and making sure that family and our customers stay first!
CERTIFICATIONS & APPROVALS
We are very proud to be both AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 Certified. AS9100 is the quality management systems standard applicable to companies that supply to aerospace and defense industries. This standard incorporates all of ISO 9001 with additional industry specific requirements for aerospace. Click here for our certificate.
United Gear & Machine Company produces the highest quality splines for our customers. We are proud to hold Bell Flight approvals and work on several flight safety parts for industry leaders like Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky. In addition to conventional aerospace programs, we work closely with industry leading space exploration companies to help provide integral engine parts that are helping us literally reach new heights.
