Coordinate Measuring Machines

Using  coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) allows United Gear & Machine Company to accurately measure small and medium-size parts three-dimensionally.

The KNM 9X

The KNM 9X is an analytical measuring machines designed for high-precision measurement of gears, gear tools and other rotationally symmetrical workpieces. With a swing capacity of up to 1250 mm (49.21 “) and vertical travel of 1200 mm (47.24”), UGM can provide analytical gear charts for large pieces.

PGM 400 (ND 300)

Analytical gear inspection machine for workpieces up to Ø 450 mm. Completely rebuilt in 2020, this gear analyzer and the KNM 9X both provide True 3D measurements in an error-compensated work envelope produced by Penta Gear Metrology proprietary data acquisition algorithms and Renishaw® 3D probe technology.
